Our take
I've used the Model D for years and it's the gold standard for rowing machines. The aluminum frame is sturdy yet relatively light at 57 lbs, making it easy to move. The PM5 monitor is excellent—clear, responsive, and tracks everything you need. Air resistance feels natural and the adjustable damper lets you fine-tune the feel. The 500 lb weight capacity is generous. The main downsides are the price—$2300 is steep—and the 15-inch depth means it's long, so you need space. The included cleaning cloth is a nice touch, but at this price, I'd expect a seat pad or something extra. Still, if you want durability and accurate performance data, this is it.
